EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 6

And this is what I run in my mind as my way of meditation: I imagine myself alone in the world, and I am sitting cross-legged in a vast empty place, like in the middle of the desert at night. Everything is dark. And then I imagine that the world shrinks little by little; very, very slowly it grows smaller and smaller until it becomes the size of a house. Then, it starts to shrink some more from under me, until it totally becomes the size of a tennis ball.
